Bloods fan Mark puts his best foot forward for Help The Heroes

What were you doing at 6.30am this Saturday morning? I know that I was still in bed fast asleep. Mark, on the other hand was taking the bus to Cambridge, just so he could walk back to Walden in time for the 3pm kick off at Catons Lane.

Mark Young is currently training to build himself up to walk 100k. He will be walking from London to Cambridge on the 2nd and 3rd July. He is raising money for Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes offers comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving our country. This support is provided at four Help for Heroes Recovery Centres across the UK and through support grants to individuals and other charities.

I asked Mark, what made him decide to walk 100k? He said he wanted to personally challenge himself to achieve something different before he turns 50. Don't most people start up golf?

Mark starts his challenge near the Olympic Park and heads up the fascinating Lea Valley - past locks, parkland, and on through beautiful open countryside to the historic city of Cambridge. He will be walking through the night with minimal breaks and will not stop until he reaches his goal.

Mark has risen over £1,000 already and hopes to smash his target of £1,170. Please sponsor him and help him reach and smash his target.
